While in law school, she clerked for Judge Conley in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, served as an intake volunteer for the Protective Order Project, aiding those seeking temporary domestic violence injunctions against their abusers, and provided pro bono legal services to sole inventors and small businesses through the law school’s Intellectual Property Law Clinic. Attorney Schlederer found herself drawn to the area of family law by a growing passion for serving individuals, and in particular, families, through her work within the Milwaukee community. During the early years of her practice, she developed a strategic outlook while managing patent and trademark portfolios for businesses of all sizes. In her family law practice, Attorney Schlederer remains a thoughtful strategist. As an empathetic listener, she strives to understand each of her client’s goals, as well as the factors surrounding and impacting each of those goals, to craft a unique strategy for each unique situation. Additionally, Attorney Schlederer endeavors to leave her clients well educated on the options open to them, along with the coinciding benefits and drawbacks, so that each client can feel confident and empowered in his or her chosen path forward.

Apart from her legal practice, Attorney Schlederer serves as a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee and as a volunteer tutor and activities coordinator for SEA Literacy, a local nonprofit that provides support and literacy tutoring for Milwaukee refugee students. In her free time, she enjoys camping and hiking to new destinations, continually seeking out the best backdrop for whichever new novel she happens to be exploring alongside the scenery.
